WordPress WordCamps are very special, that are like more than festivals for everyone in the WordPress community. I have been watching WordCamp sessions online before that, and heard about WordCamps from many people. Then I have decided to attend the upcoming WordCamp and experience it personally.
And guess what within a week I have heard about my city, Ahmedabad which is the prior capital and the largest city of the Gujarat state, India is planning to organize our first WordCamp. That was great news for me as well as for whole Ahmedabad WordPress members.
Well, then we all eagerly wait for the date of the WCAhemdabad.
It’s 3 days event,
- Day 1 – WikiHow Day
- Day-2 The Geek’s Day
- Day 3 :- A day for WordPress
On Day 1 and Day 2 there are several sessions and panel discussions where speakers can share their knowledge, and on other days there is for the WordPress community where we can contribute to WordPress and make it batter in different ways.
In this wonderful event I have been selected as a volunteer for WordPress Ahmedabad, and I was extremely happy to volunteer at camp.
On the event day I supported the registration desk in the morning as a volunteer. After that I have attended sessions. With that I met many new people, made new friends and learned new things.
And how can I forget about the sponsor’s stall, and the amazing swags they gave to every member.
After that there is contributor day, and I am a WordPress lover and I enjoy every bit of WordPress, where on that day I have contributed to polyglots. On other panels people are very helpful to sharing their knowledge to other people and help them by guiding how to contribute to WordPress. Afterall sharing is caring.

After such an extraordinary event there is an after party, where we had dance and dj and we did full on fun. I enjoyed it a lot.
That was my first WordCamp and I’m very happy after attending that!
